Washing instructions and fabric information

The bedding is made of combed cotton thread that is finely knitted; so-called single jersey. This is the same fabric T-shirts are made of.

According to the symbols on the bedding the care should be: machine wash (max 60C), ironing on a medium setting (max 150C), and low heat tumble dry. No bleach. No dry-clean.

One of the advantages of T-shirt bedding is that it is wrinkle free. It looks equally smooth after tumble drying as it does having hung out to dry.

The fabric is treated with special enzymes to prevent pilling. This procedure makes the bedding give off some cotton lint in connection with the first few washes, especially when using a tumble dryer. Beach House Jersey Sheets are anti-shrinkage treated.

Beach House Company has the highest rating of Oeko-tex certification on all products, Class 1. This means the production process involves no hazardous chemicals. In addition to being wrinkle-free, other advantages of using single jersey as bedding fabric are that the fabric breathes better than closely woven high thread count sheets, it is more supple, and few materials compare to its soft surface.

Beach House Jersey Sheets are tested for strength, wringing, durability and colorfastness.
